Baptism at Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Luke in Glasgow

I recently had a opportunity to photograph a really special christening  ceremony. Katharina was baptized at Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Luke in Glasgow. Katharina  was presented to the church, immersed in the water three times after being covered in oil, had locks of hair cut, communion… it was an amazing thing to watch and be a part of.

Greek Orthodox Christenings are beautiful ceremonies with no shortage of captivating objects to be photographed. This makes such an event a challenge for a photographer attempting to capture outstanding pictures that will be cherished for generations to come.

Congratulations to proud parents and thank you so much for inviting me to share your special day.
